5 Steps to Curate Luxury Vibes in your Bedroom
Today I am sharing how to curate the same luxury vibes you find in a hotel room, in your own home - in just 5 easy steps.
If you have been neglecting your bedroom design, this post is for you. I challenge you to a mini makeover of your bedroom. Follow the steps below and you can have a luxurious bedroom transformed in just a few days!
1. the Backdrop
The first step in creating a luxury vibe in your bedroom is to add a focal point that anchors the space. If you have a blank wall behind your bed, adding an accent paint or removable wallpaper, is a great way to ground the space. In the images above, the accent wall is created through a variety of methods. They vary from murals, board and batten trim, paint and wallpaper. Each scenario has a different price associated with it, if you are looking for affordable options, accent paint is the most cost effective way to transform your space. It is inexpensive, and it creates a big impact!

2. the Bedding
Personally I am a down comforter kind of girl. I love getting a patterned duvet cover and going with a simple solid color with my sheets. You can reverse this too - a solid colored duvet with a patterned sheet (a great option if you choose to add a patterned wallpaper behind you bed)!

3. the Pillows
The more pillows, the better, as demonstrated by the photos below - visit my post here for some quick tips on pillow selection as well as some favorites of mine. Layering throw pillows on your bed is an effective way to create layers and luxury in the bedroom!
4. the Throws/Blankets
When it comes to creating the luxury vibe in your bedroom, it is all about the layers and textures. So, yes, indulge on that throw blanket you've been eyeing! When folded at the foot of your bed, it adds to the layered effect and creates a cozy vibe. 5. the Lighting
The best way to create the luxury feel is to add some plug-in sconces. These give a very stately, professional look - but are more affordable, because you don’t need an electrician to install!
